Resco has been filling the mobile gap in Field Service for almost two years now. For the uninitiated, in fall 2018, Microsoft and Resco announced a partnership with an expiration date. And it looks like that expiration date has now been set.
Last month, Microsoft previewed a new app to showcase the future path for Field Service Mobile.
What does this mean for me, a Field Service Customer?
Over the last 10 years, we at Resco have seen roughly about 2,500 and one mobile project implementations. It has been everything and anything “CRM-meets-a-mobile-device-and-they-shake-their-hands” type of use cases. In 2009, when we entered the Microsoft Dynamics CRM market with our brand new Mobile CRM product, we had huge expectations since the very beginning. We had been in the mobile software business for about a decade with a lot of experience. After a while, we realized that we knew nothing about how the mobile CRM business works and that we had quite a long way ahead to be successful. At the time, we recognized our main competitor, CWR Mobility. The company that had a great product and an existing ecosystem of partners and customers. The company known as, the leading mobile CRM ISV in the Microsoft Dynamics community.
