We are officially opening our test driver club.
First rule of the test driver club is: You do not talk about the club (can this reference ever get old? – I doubt it).
What is Resco test driver club?
Resco test driver club is a group of Resco Mobile CRM customers and partners, who express their interest in testing the new version of the application before it goes live.
It’s not really testing in the traditional sense (for that, we have our own testing department), but rather testing of very specific set of actions relevant for your business scenario.
Why should you join?
We’re giving you the option to test run the app in your environment, so we can avoid any troubles a new update might cause to you. This is particularly beneficial for those who have a very heavy customization in place or peculiar settings on the server-side.
The test driver club will help you identify a problem before it becomes one.
How does it work?
We are providing the members of the club with iOS, Android and Windows beta versions of the application prior to the release (usually about two weeks before the final release of the app).
After we receive your feedback, we will start working on fixes (if any issues occur) and incorporate them into the application that will be released in the end.
How can you apply?
If you are interested to test the app on iOS, send an e-mail to email@example.com. Please include the e-mail address associated with your Apple ID, so we can add you to our TestFlight beta testing list. If you have already requested a pre-release version of Resco Mobile CRM for iOS in the past, you don’t need to contact us with each new update. You should automatically receive a TestFlight notification regarding the availability of a new pre-release.
If you are interested to test the app on Android, you can download it from the following link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/net.resco.mobilecrm
If you are interested in the Widows Store app (Windows 10 / Windows 10 Mobile) testing, send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your Microsoft account e-mail address, and we will add you to our Mobile CRM Package Flight testing group. If you have already requested a pre-release of the Windows Store version in the past, you don’t need to contact us with each new update. You should automatically receive a notification regarding the availability of each new pre-release.*
If you’d like to test the app on Windows desktop, you can download it from the following link: www.resco.net/downloads/MobileCRM_Win7_Beta.msi
Looking forward to your observations & impressions :)
* September 2017: Due to a Windows Store issue, there were no notification sent and there’s not even any sign on the Store showing that there’s a beta of the Autumn Update available. In case that a registered tester has no update in the Store app, he/she needs to uninstall the app and install it once more from the Store. Then they need to check whether the app version (in the app’s About window) is 10.2.0.0. In case it isn’t, they need to uninstall it once more, quit the Store app and run it using “wsreset” command.
