Microsoft brings a new Sync Framework (version 4) to synchronize data with either SQL Server (on-premise) or SQL Azure (cloud) to the world of mobility. The new Sync Framework Toolkit builds on the Sync Framework 2.1’s ability to create disconnected apps. However, the new one supports all Microsoft platforms (Silverlight, WP7, WM, Windows Embedded Handheld and Slates) as well as non-Microsoft platforms (iOS, Android, Blackberry and HTML5 browsers.
